Parcel Logistics FAQ

How does PBB's Parcel Logistics system work?

Through the use of an FTP data transfer and a unique barcode on each package, PBB is able to expedite your Canadian bound shipments. This system allows you to collect Canadian duties and taxes at the time the order is placed ensuring that your customer does not have to pay any charges at time of delivery.

What Is Parcel Logistics?

Parcel Logistics - Direct merchandisers, cataloguers and e- tailers are provided with a seamless automated service which allows clients to distribute product to customers throughout North America. PBB is able to manage the complete delivery process, including consolidated shipping, clearance and handling of returns via an efficient paperless system.

Will I need to create Customs Documentation to accompany the shipment?

No, under the Parcel Logistics program, individual shipment values cannot exceed $1600.00 CAD.  The information required by Customs for these low value shipments will be contained within an FTP transmission received prior to release and will not be required at time of import.

When I sell my product into Canada by mail order, can I use my current U.S. catalogue?

Yes, an U.S. Catalogue can be mailed. It would be beneficial to use a Canadian supplement "blow in" for the order form however, which could include Canada specific information (i.e. U.S. prices, Canadian Customs Power of Attorney statement, and information detailing Duty/PST/GST/HST etc.).
