PBB's Trade & Compliance Services team is comprised of Compliance Specialists who offer a proactive approach to customs compliance. They provide the tools and knowledge to effectively manage compliance with the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA).
Due to the new programs implemented by the CCRA, such as the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) and Advanced Commercial Information, monitoring compliance levels has become more important than ever. Costly AMPS penalties for infractions of the Customs Act range from a warning to $1,000, with subsequent penalties from $2,000 to $25,000.
PBB's customized services include:
· Internal Audits: PBB helps companies assessing their current compliance level by scrutinizing internal processes to identify deficiencies in Tariff Classification, NAFTA, Country of Origin, Valuation, Record Keeping and Business System Linkages, to mention a few.
· Compliance Programs: The findings of the Internal Audit are then used to design a comprehensive Compliance Management program that will rectify non-compliant processes. Once the program is executed, your firm can be confident that the requirements of the Customs Act are being met:
