Privacy Policy


PBB Global Logistics has always been and will continue to be, committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personal and business information. Technology is changing the way all companies do business – and changing the way we collect and use information. Advances in communication technology bring growing concerns about maintaining the privacy of individual information. We take privacy concerns seriously and have been guided by strong codes governing privacy. We have worked to establish Privacy Principles to meet legislation and safeguard personal information. As part of this commitment, we are governed by the Ten Privacy Principles based on legislative requirements of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. 
    
Principle 1 – Accountability
    
PBB GLOBAL LOGISTICS is responsible for maintaining and protecting the customer information under our control. Information we obtain from client only registration will help us to provide information on PBB Global Logistics services. This information may also be used; to conduct industry or consumer surveys; and to maintain good customer relations. 
    
Access to databases containing customer information is limited to employees who need it to perform their jobs. In fulfilling this mandate, PBB Global Logistics has appointed an individual who is accountable for the Company's compliance of the Ten Privacy Principles. 
    
Principle 2 - Identifying Purposes  
    
The purposes for which customer information is collected shall be identified before or at the time the information is collected. For customers of our on-line services, we will disclose how individual customer information is obtained (whether through customer registration or through automatic means), what kind of information is obtained, and the purpose for which we use the information obtained on line. 
    
Principle 3 – Consent  
    
The knowledge and consent of the customer are required for the collection, use or disclosure of customer information except where required or permitted by law. Customers can also have their names removed from direct mail lists that we use. The same will be true for e-mail, if PBB Global Logistics decides to use e-mail to send new product information to its customers. However, we do use individual customer information internally for our own general marketing and planning purposes, so that we can develop and market new products and services that meet the needs of our customers.  
    
Principle 4 - Limiting Collection 
    
The customer information collected is limited to those details necessary for the purposes identified by PBB Global Logistics. Information is only collected by fair and lawful means. PBB Global Logistics does not share individual customer information with persons or entities outside the company.  
    
Principle 5 - Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention 
    
Customer information may only be used or disclosed for the purpose for which it was collected unless the customer has otherwise consented, or when it is required or permitted by law. Customer information may only be retained for the period of time required to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. 
    
Principle 6 – Accuracy 
    
PBB Global Logistics is committed to ensuring that the information we obtain and use about customers is accurate. To that end, we strive to verify that our customer records are correct. 
    
Principle 7 - Safeguarding Customer Information 
    
We strive to assure that information we have about our customers is accurate, secure and confidential, and to ensure that our employees comply with our privacy policy. We never tamper with, intrude upon or disclose the existence or contents of any communication or transmission, except as required by law or the proper management of our network. Access to databases containing customer information is limited to employees who need it to perform their jobs 
    
Principle 8 – Openness 
    
PBB Global Logistics upon request will make information available to customers concerning the policies and practices that apply to the management of their information. 
    
Principle 9 - Customer Access 
    
Upon request, a customer shall be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of their information, and shall be given access to it. Customers may verify the accuracy and completeness of their information, and may request that it be amended, if appropriate 
    
Principle 10 - Handling Customer Complaints and Suggestions
