Recognized for Excellent Performance in Logistics
and Supply Chain Management
Fort
Erie, Ontario June 2, 2004 -
PBB Global Logistics, a leading provider
of international supply chain solutions
was named "2003 Display Management
Outstanding Vendor of the Year," by
Best Buy Canada Ltd (BBYC).
PBB was commended for its 98% shipment accuracy
and exceeding delivery expectations by 1.5
days when handling 8,000 shipments for Best
Buy each year. PBB has developed management
reporting, and uses key performance indicators,
which were a critical factor in their success
at managing a surge of 19 new store openings
in 2003. PBB currently supports over 100
existing Best Buy/Future Shop stores and
has provided complete end-to-end logistics
services and supply chain management for
the Display Management and Field Services
division of Best Buy Canada since 1996.
"
We have always been committed to providing
exceptional value and quality service to
our clients," said Mike Scott, President & CEO,
PBB Global Logistics. "This award is
a testament to PBB's own 'Quality Initiative'
and the best practices we have put into place
to ensure client satisfaction."
Best Buy Canada measures its vendors on pricing,
service, experience, capabilities, infrastructure,
equipment and ability to offer innovative
solutions. The "Outstanding Vendor of
the Year Award" was presented at Best
Buy's Annual Conference. PBB also won awards
for outstanding vendor performance awards
in 1999, 2000 and 2001 from Future Shop,
a subsidiary of Best Buy.
"
PBB Global Logistics has been a valuable
partner of the Display Management group for
over
seven years. We have come to rely on their
expertise for any undertaking that we have
- whether it's a new store opening, or renovations," said
Dennis Silva, Senior Manager of Display Management
and Field Services of Best Buy Canada Ltd. "We
value our partnership with PBB and are pleased
to recognize their hard work and commitment
to customer service by presenting them with
our Outstanding Vendor Award."
In addition, Best Buy Canada recognized PBB's
on-site service representative, as Display
Management Vendor Representative of the Year. "Having
a person on-site means that each PBB branch
is working directly with individual vendors
to meet BBYC's evolving requirements and
that the teams are getting prompt information
on projects," said Claudine Castuciano,
Display Purchasing Manager, Best Buy Canada.
