Traders
PBB Global Logistics launches revamped, state-of-the-art
corporate web site
Fort
Erie, Ontario –February 22, 2005 –Today,
PBB Global Logistics officially launches
its next generation web site at www.pbb.com.
The revamped site gives PBB an Internet
presence that is fresh and innovative,
specifically designed with the needs of
today’s shipper in mind.
“
Whether you are a PBB customer seeking to
access the up-to-the-second status of your
shipment or inventory, a logistics or media
professional looking for information on the
latest supply chain strategies, or an importer
double-checking critical H.S. data, pbb.com
is an excellent resource,”said John
Ferguson, Chief Marketing Officer, PBB Global
Logistics.
PBB was an Internet pioneer among logistics
providers and its web site has been a popular
resource for shippers and traders for many
years. In developing the new site,
particular emphasis was placed on user-friendliness
and interactivity. The site’s
new menu structure simplifies navigation
and an ultra-fast search engine makes it
easy to browse through hundreds of pages
of content to find the information desired.
The site continues to offer many of the resources
that shippers have come to rely on, including
a searchable database of 2005 Canadian H.S.
codes, a library of downloadable trade document
forms, a comprehensive logistics and customs
FAQ section and a daily news brief feature.
Prospective customers also have access to
a convenient step-by-step account setup system
and quote request modules for all of PBB’s
integrated logistics services.
The Clients Only section of the site offers
PBB customers a number of highly-secure supply
chain management tools, including tracking
and tracing, a customized tariff database,
on-line trade documentation and advanced
applications such as e-procurement, which
offers on-line purchase order management;
and e-fulfillment, a Web-based system for
inventory management and distribution.
New to the site is an interactive, easy-to-use “Contact
Us”feature for users to reach any of
PBB’s 85 locations across North America
and China. The site also features expanded
multi-lingual content, with more information
than ever before in French, Spanish and Chinese.
Many pages on the site also feature a section
with related links and documents, further
improving the visitor’s overall experience.
“
We are very proud of the new pbb.com,”said
Mr. Ferguson. “We’ve always considered
our Internet presence to be an integral part
of our company’s communication efforts,
which is why we strive to provide practical
tools and resources for the shipping and
logistics community. We will continue
to invest in pbb.com to ensure it remains
a valuable source of information for anyone
seeking assistance or advice on key supply
chain and trade issues that face businesses
today.”
