Workshop to Offer First-Hand Advice on Doing Business in Asia
Logistics Provider Offers Inside Track to the Chinese Market

Buffalo, New York - January 10, 2002 - PBB Global Logistics is joining with the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara (WTCBN) in hosting a special in-depth workshop entitled "Doing Business in China." Participants can learn about the benefits and pitfalls of doing business in China, thanks to an expert panel of speakers including Mike Scott, President and CEO, PBB Global Logistics; Dr. John Thomas, Associate Dean, School of Management, SUNY Buffalo; and Robert Skowronski, Vice-President of Materials and Foreign Business Development, Eastman Machine Company.

This unique workshop is offered free of charge on Thursday, January 17 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at PBB Global Logistics' US Headquarters on 670 Young Street, Tonawanda, NY. All interested participants must RSVP by January 13, 2002 by phone at 716-852-7160 or email at cboncore@wtcbn.org

PBB's substantial connections and long-standing record of success in Asia - and particularly in the Chinese market - make it a natural choice to host this special event.

"PBB has been doing business in China for more than a decade," explains Mike Scott, President and CEO, PBB Global Logistics. "We've learned that to succeed there, you need the knowledge and assistance of experienced professionals with a proven track record in that country. This workshop is just one of many initiatives our company has undertaken to cultivate and solidify our success in Asia."

One of PBB's most popular initiatives is its upcoming China: Trade Mission 2002 - an annual business delegation to China. During this 15-day, 6-city mission, North American firms have the unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with high-level buyers, suppliers, distributors and manufacturers, strategically selected from across China to match their business needs. In the past, participating companies have made valuable business contacts and many participants continue to reap the benefits from previous missions.

PBB also offers Access China, a program for North American companies interested in doing business in China. Access China provides sourcing assistance, giving participants access to a broad network of business specialists with expertise in local market research, corporate law, translation, insurance and other specialized needs.

This is a particularly opportune time for North American companies looking to establish a presence in China. With China's rapidly expanding market and recent entry into the World Trade Organization, new business opportunities are developing at an incredible pace.

PBB Global Logistics employs more than 1,000 people in 70 locations throughout North America. It offers fully integrated global logistics services including: International Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Warehousing & Distribution, North American Shipping, Trade & Regulatory Services, Corporate Audit, Parcel Logistics, Corporate Travel and e-globallogistics.comTM through a North American network of automated facilities and world-wide strategic alliances.
