the important designation for the second
consecutive year. The judging panel cites
PBB's continued expansion, commitment
to achieving goals outlined within their
strategic plan, ongoing service excellence
and commitment to technological innovation
in once again placing PBB among the elite
of Canadian private enterprise.

winners are selected after a thorough interview
and research process, where companies are
evaluated on the quality of their products
and services, the motivation of their employees,
their commitment to customer service and
their ability to implement results-oriented
business strategies.
PBB's
strategic accomplishments for 2000 include:

- The
acquisition of Houston, Texas-based Global
Transport Services, a project cargo specialist.
The acquisition provides PBB clients
with a new gateway to the Latin American
market, and enhances PBB's project cargo
capabilities.
- An
expanded North American network with
new locations in Cincinnati and Columbus,
Ohio, San Francisco, Miami and Charleston,
South Carolina, as well as the consolidation
of three Vancouver locations into a single
state-of-the-art logistics center.
- Expanded
service options and capabilities to Latin
America, through Houston and Miami, and
to Asia with new consolidated services
to several Chinese ports. PBB also led
a Trade Mission to China in March, linking
North American businesses with potential
customers and partners. This was the
first privately-led mission of its kind.
- The
launching of e-globallogistics.com, a
comprehensive portfolio of web enabled
logistics applications for both B2B and
B2C customers.
- Enhanced
customer service measures including the
introduction of a client service call center.
